Copeland Furniture: Dressers
They also come in an impressive array of shapes and sizes. For every bedroom set and Copeland Dresser there are at least two or three variations, and often many more. You can get dressers with 3 drawers, 4 drawers, 5 or even 6 drawers. They can be stacked high (depending on the style) or spread wide, and many are even specially adapted to serve as TV stands in your bedroom. The focus of Copeland Furniture is to create long lasting, beautiful and even moving hardwood designs - but they also insist on functionality, and that's what you get with every Copeland product.
Astrid Dressers offer size variations, both lengthwise and vertically, up to 6 drawers (or 4 or 5). This is more than enough room to store all the clothes and detritus you need to get off the floor or out of the closet. When you get both the low and the high dresser, it also gives your room a great sense of variety within the confines of the "Bedroom Set." The dressers are fashioned from Walnut or Cherry wood, and polished to a beautiful sheen. Each drawer of the Astrid Dresser features two widely spaced knobs with which to open and shut the dresser.
The Berkeley Dresser features clever, contrasting handles and elegant, slight curvatures along the vertical and horizontal lines of the piece. The perfect complement to the Berkeley Bedroom Set, this handsome dresser gives off a bright, even playful vibe. Made from natural cherry hardwood, this is as fine an example of the Shaker principles and somewhat modern taste of the Copeland style as you'll find. The Berkeley Dresser is also unique because it offers choices up to ten drawers, a bit more than many of the other models. It's an efficient, lovely, handcrafted gem from the Copeland workshop.
The Mansfield Dresser is another unique creation in the line. The legs of the dresser seem attached to the side of the case, rather than emerging from underneath or extending through the bottom. They make an inverted V, and the dresser appears to rest on rails that connect between the four legs at the bottom of the piece. The effect is informal but very fine.
In 1976, Copeland Furniture began bringing solid hardwood furniture to market through retail partners that shared their passion for timeless design and unparalleled quality. Since then, they've grown from a one-man shop to a family-owned and operated business that is one of the largest employers in Bradford, Vermont. Copeland has built a brand that's known for honesty, integrity, and fairness. Their growing line of products continue to reflect traditional craftsmanship values and evolving market demands.
Today Copeland Furniture manufactures a full line of bedroom, dining room and home office furniture. Designs range from transitional to highly contemporary. Diverse design influences include Arts and Crafts, Asian Design, Shaker Furniture, Scandinavian Design and the architecture and environment of Copeland's home state, Vermont.
Preservation and stewardship are values that run deep in Vermont. They run deep at Copeland Furniture too. Their commitment to sustainability is reflected in the furniture they design and manufacture. They know that our environment is, in many ways, very fragile, and that we are the beneficiaries of the strong stewardship ethic practiced and passed down by those who went before us. It is Copeland Furniture's hope that the next generation appreciates their stewardship and is inspired to continue the tradition.
