"We worked very hard at at that- enjoying ourselves. We didn't let anything interfere with what we were doing- our hard work. That in itself was a great pleasure." - Charles Eames

The effort and focus that implicitly comes with hard work is clear to see in some of the standout designs of Eames furniture, such as the Plywood Chair group, the Aluminum Chair collection, and various storage units. They are strikingly original in their design and just plain ahead of their time. The fact that the Eames enjoyed their work is even more readily apparent when one steps back and takes in their body of work. The sheer volume is staggering, and the highest attention to detail and quality prevails throughout their unsurpassed portfolio of modern classics.
