One of George Nelson's most cherished designs is a collection of chairs, tables, and desks known as the Swag Leg Group, whose curved metal legs have a sculptured appearance. To make these pieces, Nelson used a process called "swaging" - a technique involving pressure to cause the tapering of metal tubes.
