At A Glance:
The Arena TV stand is a freestanding flat panel TV mount with a sturdy base for use with earlier BDI entertainment centers or other applicable home theater cabinets that are not compatible with model 9970. This TV mount can also be used with other manufacturers' media stands. A cabinet must have at least 2" of vertical clearance under the base and have no obstructions between 13.5" and 16" to either side of the center point of the cabinet to accommodate the Arena Freestanding TV Mount's two support legs.
The Arena Freestanding TV Mount holds up to 175 lbs, as long as the TV's mounting pattern does not exceed 860mm x 500mm.
Recommended for 40"-65" flatscreen televisions.
What's To Like:
When you can't hang your TV on the wall, this is the next best option. Pick a cabinet, any cabinet, and put your TV above it with the Arena TV Mount. This lets you choose a cabinet without worrying about whether or not the top will be sturdy enough, and you'll be able to move out of your apartment without having to explain the holes in the living room wall. You win.
What's Not to Like:
The only thing we can find to pick on is that you can't use Arena to hang a smaller screen. But then again, those are the types of screens that don't really need to be mounted above the cabinet.
The Bottom Line:
The Arena Freestanding TV Mount is a great, flexible option to display your flat screen TV, with integrated wire control, stable base, and enough strength to hold up to 175 lbs. You can't ask for much more.
