Fin Coffee Table by BDI
designed by Cristian Wicha
At A Glance:
For design inspiration, Cristian Wicha turned to one of his passions - surfing. The result is BDI's most unique coffee table, shaped like the fin of a surfboard. The Fin Coffee Table's shape creates a stable platform that allows for the lower shelf to be either revealed or hidden, depending on your preference. This low, dynamic table is sure to become a conversation piece in any setting.
What's To Like:
It's multidimensional. Choose to portray it as a solid block of a table with a single glass surface, and you can. Turn the open side to face the room and viola, there's another shelf with lots of space! Oh, the fun you can have re-arranging the entire look of your living room.
What's Not to Like:
If you have very active small children, you may not appreciate the glass top for long. A better choice than some because of its tempered glass, the Fin Coffee Table is still a glass table with pointy corners.
The Bottom Line:
Available in Espresso Stained Oak and Natural Walnut, the Fin Coffee Table brings surf and sun to any contemporary living space, with a rounded triangular shape and contrasting materials.
Tempered glass, wood, and steel.

Although his designs are inspired by the works of mid-century modern masters, Cristian's designs are clearly 21st century. Cristian looks at furniture design as an extension of the sculptor's art. A perspective that is reflected in his designs which always tend to push the limits of conventional thought.
