Chicago Media Center
by Blu Dot
At A Glance:
Sometimes good design is about what's not there. The Chicago Series puts negative space to artful use, and this Media Center is no exception. This TV stand is designed to hold up to a 42" flat screen and three components in the central shelf. Store books or media in the towers, while cord control keeps things tidy in the back.
The Chicago Media Center was one of the earliest pieces designed by Blu Dot, and it certainly has staying power. The fact that this entertainment center is beautiful and functional makes it an excellent choice for your media equipment. The neutral finishes of the wood blend well with any color scheme, allowing you to insert this piece into any decor.
What's To Like:
If there was ever an artful way to display a television set, the Chicago Media Center is it. A full 8' wide and full of air and block shelves, this entertainment center is all about showcasing space.
What's Not to Like:
This is for large jobs only. This is one wide media center, and you'll need to have 8' of wall space to accommodate it. If you've got the space, it's a winner - but it can overwhelm smaller spaces.
The Bottom Line:
This is one of the rare entertainment centers that don't just help to organize and display your media equipment; it can become the focal point of an entire room. The Chicago Media Center adds interest where other media consoles fall short. Available in maple, graphite-on-oak and cherry.
