Comments about - Conceal Floating Bookshelves:

I love the concealed floating shelves--saves loads of space. I am about to order more.

I also ordered a bookshelf that arrived broken, but I called and they replaced the broken part very quickly.

I will definitely continue to order--I highly recommend!

Comments about - Conceal Floating Bookshelves:

I bought the larger size thinking that it would hold all books but the first book has to be the size suggested by maker to fit properly; the rest don't matter. I really love the look of the floating bookshelf and convenience of keeping my books close to my bed without having to stack them on my dresser.

Comments about - Conceal Floating Bookshelves:

I put a few of them in the kids room for all the kid books we have. Looks like magic and is unique from other shelves I've seen. The only cons I have is that it doesn't come with drywall anchors (get some, or hit a stud in the wall), and the metal is a little on the weak side. I obeyed the documentation and only put about 15 lbs of books on them and it started to bow down. I just bent it a little up and it was level again. Just don't load them down and it'll be fine.

No, but you may have to reinforce the bottom flap of a paperback if it fails to stay tucked into the small catch.

We do not have an experience with this style of mounting. We do not recommend using velcro as it may fall. It is best to use the hardware provided.

Is it possible to mount these shelves into plaster walls? If so, will I need additional hardware?

                A:

You should be able to use the drywall anchors and screws. This should be able to mount to plasters walls just fine. If you have any other questions please e-mail sales@smartfurniture.com

Followed the instruction by mounting the shelves on a stud, but they did not hold well. The shelves fell after placed three (medium size) books. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

                A:

You will need to use a screw long enough to reach through the drywall and through the stud. Weigh the books used, and make sure they do not exceed the weight limit of 10lb.

                A:

There is a small lip on the bottom of the bookshelf where it meets the wall that holds the back page of the book up. It really neat how they truly appear to be floating on the wall.

Since this only attaches to the wall with one screw properly mounted would be direct into a stud, or using an anchor for drywall.
