This little light turns on and off by touching the Herman Miller logo, how cool! It is the sole lighting for my desk in my living room. I wanted something small and interesting looking and this fits the bill. I wouldn't want it brighter but to have more adjustments for the angle of the light might be helpful.

I use the Flute Task Light as my only source of lighting in my Home Office at night. The Light's height and angle delivers the best lighting for reading that I have seen and I can focus on about 3 books or documents directly under it at the same time. Overflow/indirect illumination from the light helps to lightly illuminate my laptop computer's keyboard and other areas in proximity at the same time.

Delivery was prompt based on the schedule sent by customer service. The product arrived in good condition as a result of appropriate packaging and installation instructions were clear so I had prompt use of the Flute Task Light.
Flute is up to 85 percent recyclable at the end of its useful life and is made of 36 percent recycled materials. Flute's lightscale design can also help reduce a user's carbon footprint by minimizing packaging, shipping, and storage. It also incorporates the latest in LED technology to provide high-quality light output, while consuming 30-50 less energy than traditional task lights. Using only a total of 5.2 watts of energy, Flute provides a total of 160 lumens and has a lifespan of more than 60,000 hours (about 23 years with average use).
