The Format Desk is an elegant, modern creation from up and coming designer Matthew Weatherly. The desk is a beautiful example of forma and function coming together in a single product to serve a single purpose - to make your working life better. Let's start with the beauty, then we'll get to the brains. The Format desk is composed of steel and laminated material with either a black oak, walnut or plain white finish. It's not shaped in precisely the same way a traditional desk would be - it's a working space with wings. The polished steel legs support the middle section of the desk, which has two small wings that extend out even further. Each wing includes a desk drawer lined in neoprene (so things stay where they're supposed to stay, 100 of the time), and the desktop itself is smooth as a lake and just as lovely.
