At A Glance: We could speculate on why this table was named the "Four Table," or we could just make up our own interpretation. We choose the latter - it's more fun. It's so named in solidarity with the table's powder-coated steel legs, which face in all four directions. It's really a cool look, and the slim, laminated tabletop's minimal thickness enhances the impression of strict geometry and depth.
What's To Like:
The Four Table is perfect for the office. There's plenty of space beneath for a file pedestal or two.
Location two: the home. Any minimalist home can only be enhanced by the clarity and simplicity this table brings.
The table's laminated MDF top won't scratch or stain like solid wood.
What's Not to Like: Simplicity and geometric design aside, some people want a traditional table. We get that.
The Bottom Line: The Kartell Four Table, while not traditional in any respect, is nonetheless perfectly suited for both home and office use. If you like the look, it's a solid choice.

Ferruccio Laviani Born in 1960, Ferruccio Laviani studied both architecture and design in Milan, graduating with a degree in architecture in 1986. Soon thereafter, he took part in the "12 Newcomers" Memphis collection in 1986 and the "Living on Earth" Memphis collection in 1987, launching his career with ties to the colorful and idiosyncratic design movement. Laviani went on to design whimsical, colorful furniture and objects that reminds us of its exuberant and expressive mission.
Ferruccio Laviani marks the transition between his generation and those before him through his collaborations with his elders and mentors. He's worked with Kartell, Foscarini, Achille Castiglioni, and Ettore Sottsass. Along with his talented colleagues, Laviani exemplifies the best of Italian design, present and future.

In order to simplify the recycling process, the various components of Kartell products can be easily separated and reduced to elements made of one single material. Moreover, the plastic parts of each product carry, clearly printed, an identification mark to determine the correct classification of the different kinds of plastic and their effective recycling.
