Jamaica Barstool by Knoll
designed by Pepe Cortes Designed in 1993 by Pepe Cortes, The Jamaica Bar Stool is composed of anodized cast aluminum and steel, with plastic glides. The seat of the stool swivels 360 degrees, providing and unlimited range of movement. Inspired by the country for which it was named, the stool is loose, a little funky, and very comfortable. The seat is contoured to fit the human body, so it's not only attractive to the eye, it's comfortable and feels good to sit in. The base of the chair is lightweight but incredibly sturdy, making the Jamaica Bar Stool perfect of entertaining, breakout areas and multi-function seating. The stool comes in two heights, high for bars and low for tables.

Born in Barcelona, Pepe Cortes takes collaboration and design to the next level. He not only focuses on the home, but Cortes has collaborated to design stores, offices, restaurant furnishings, and furniture. Cortes, who founded the multidisciplinary design group, Grupo Abierto de Diseno, is well known for designing the Jamaica barstool for Knoll in 1993.
