The Knoll Life Chair is manufactured in a LEED Gold Facility using clean technology. That means no CFCs, metal powder-coating and adhesive processes are 99 percent VOC-free, and 100 percent of the energy at the plant is offset by wind power. As for the chair itself, Life is designed with a full cycle in mind, 55-60 percent of the chair is constructed with recycled materials and 70 percent of the parts are recyclable. Parts are easily replaced and the chair is rated Sustainable Gold by the SMaRT Sustainable Product Standard. The Knoll Life Chair is GREENGUARD Air Quality Certified and can actually hep contribute to a building's LEED Credits.
