The Shelton & Mindel SM2 Sofa is airy, clean, and simple, as well as luxurious and beautiful. Expanded and further explored versions of the SM1 series of lounge furniture, the SM2 Sofa and the whole SM2 collection differ mostly in the cushioning. The SM2 uses external cushions, and makes for a cushier seat. The traditional conventions of the sofa are not subverted or ignored, but merely finessed and sharpened into a near-perfect piece of furniture, the Shelton & Mindel SM2 Sofa. The design concepts that drove the creation of the sofa were order, enclosure, and intimacy. The slightly overstuffed and elegantly upholstered pieces embrace you, and the lack of extra cushions and pillows, not to mention the extended and wider than usual armrests, accomplish all the goals of the design team and still retain the essential class and formal excellence that mark every well-made sofa.
