Skovby Rectangular Extending Dining Table SM 36
This is the newest dining table from British spy agency MI-6. Just kidding. But you wouldn't be shocked if it were; this is one of the cleverest, most delightful dining tables you'll ever encounter. Just pull on one end of the table and the middle will open up. Within the base pedestal is a leaf, folded. Merely press down on it and it pops up and unfolds, dramatically extending your table with no effort - but with lots of oohs and aahs.
What's to Like:
It's useful and clever, but it's also beautiful. The designers didn't neglect their first responsibility, to make the furniture gorgeous. The dark wood stain of this table and the simple but elegant form (single pedestal) contribute to a truly lovely dining room table.
What's Not to Like:
This is a big-brother to the SM 35, so only get this version if you often have major seating needs at table.
Beautiful, cool, possibly designed by Q...what could be better?
This rectangular pedestal table gives a sculptural sense to your dinner presentation, elevating the food as an object of desire. The Skovby SM 36 dining table's unobtrusive and simple lines beautifully conceal an extension leaf within its base for easy use when you have guests around your table. One of the most functional parts of a home, this extending table is big brother to the Skovby SM 35 Rectangular Extending Dining Table. Some assembly required.
Skovby SM 36 Features:
- Seating for 8 when unextended, 10 when extended
- 1 folding leaf stored in the base
- Leaf is revealed when table is extended; light pressure causes it to raise up to be set in place
