Suzanne Lounge Chair by Knoll designed by Kazuhide Takahama The Suzanne Lounge Chair and the Double Chair, Settee and Sofa versions of that chair, is a merged design. Noted designer Kazuhide Takahama created the chairs in 1965 of the Gavina Group of Milan, and the idea was to fuse the minimalism of eastern design and fuse it with the utility and comfort of western. The result was deeply simple, rounded chair that merges two forms to make one. The finished product of the Suzanne Lounge Chair is similar to a natural chair, or natural stone, albeit much easier on the body. The Suzanne Lounge Chair is portable and adaptable, and can be combined into larger groups of seating.
