Take Table Lamp by Kartell
designed by Ferruccio Laviani
The most traditional image of the lamp has been revisited by Kartell technology and Ferruccio Laviani - the result being a one-of-a-kind industrial table lamp. Viewed from the side, Take appears to have a classical silhouette, but viewed from straight ahead, its true form is revealed. Formed by two symmetric pieces- each a half-lamp and a rectangular plane, this Kartell item's unique form includes an internal pleating that creates a playful combination of light when in use.
Take comes in numerous chromatic tones and is made of transparent or color injected polycarbonate. 40 W maximum. Available in a variety of transparent crystal or matte white.

About The Manufacturer
Creativity and technology, glamour and functionality, quality and innovation: a combination of extraordinary factors together with a strategic vision of distribution has contributed to the lasting success of Kartell. By cultural and entrepreneurial choice, since its origins in 1949 the Italian manufacturer has chosen to characterize itself as the market leader in the production of designers articles which use technology and plastic materials. This choice requires a great understanding of materials and transformation technology. A leader in furniture design, Kartell addresses an international audience with a collection unique in originality, variety, size, and range.
Born in 1960, Ferruccio Laviani studied both architecture and design in Milan, graduating with a degree in architecture in 1986. Soon thereafter, he took part in the "12 Newcomers" Memphis collection in 1986 and the "Living on Earth" Memphis collection in 1987, launching his career with ties to the colorful and idiosyncratic design movement. Laviani went on to design whimsical, colorful furniture and objects that reminds us of its exuberant and expressive mission.
Ferruccio Laviani marks the transition between his generation and those before him through his collaborations with his elders and mentors. He's worked with Kartell, Foscarini, Achille Castiglioni, and Ettore Sottsass. Along with his talented colleagues, Laviani exemplifies the best of Italian design, present and future.
