Comments about Vaughan-Bassett Ellington Sleigh Bed:
I love this bed--I bought it back in January 2015, and I've had nothing but compliments on it. It's quite stylish and elegant.
The only issue I have with it (I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could) is that the three slats it came with were pitiful. They were flimsy and pretty much useless. I had to go out and buy eight more and install them myself so I could safely and comfortably put my matress on it. The bed is well-priced; however, I'd rather pay more to have all of the hardware needed in order to use this bed right out of the box rather than have to take my time to go to Home Depot and buy it myself.
Once I squared that away, the bed is great to sleep on and I love not having a box spring. I did add risers to the bed to bring it higher up off of the ground, but that's a personal preference.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery was prompt and the deliverymen were great. I have zero complaints there.
This is not a complaint, but rather 'heads up': There's a lot of packaging. Hard to really complain here. I am very glad that the bed was well-packaged and arrived undamaged. But it took quite a while to unpack the bed and then to dispose of everything. Just be prepared for that when you order this bed (which I recommened highly).
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
