Environmental InfoThere are five aspects of being "Green" - and here's how this Saloom piece is an environmentally sound choice:
- Handmade to Last
With the soundest construction principles and most careful assembly possible, Saloom furniture is built to become an heirloom piece. You'll pass it down to the next generation as sturdy as when you first used it yourself. That's the single largest factor of environmental soundness.
- Made in the USA
No energy waste or pollution from seagoing transportation. In addition, this product is made in adherence to the Northeast region's strict manufacturing environmental policies.
- Locally Sourced Maple
Nearly 100% of the material in this product is Northeast Maple. Forestry regulations and practices in the region are strong, and forest growth is vigorous. Sustainable - and convenient, since there's no need for long-distance lumber transportation.
- Low VOC Finishes
The finish used on this product has high solid percentages and is considered a low Volatile Organic Compound. Special spray guns are used to ensure that most of the finish ends up on the furniture, not up the vent stack.
- Strategically Minimal Packaging
Enough packaging to protect the furniture during transportation - and That's it. Saloom also recycles the majority of their corrugated cartons.

Shipping & Delivery
Availability: Ships within 4 weeks from the purchase date for destinations within the contiguous United States.
Standard curbside delivery is free in the contiguous United States and includes delivery of large or fragile items to your curb or front door Monday through Friday during normal business hours. This service does not include delivery inside your home or office, so be prepared. If you want to save money on shipping and are ok with a little moving and unpacking, this is your best option. For a modest fee, additional delivery options are available.
Inside delivery is a cost effective way to have large, heavy items delivered inside your home or office when you just do not want to be bothered by moving and lifting. This service can be added to your order for $59 per item. We recommend inside delivery because this item is either extremely large, extremely heavy or ships in multiple boxes.
