Totem Bookcase Tower
by Blu Dot
At A Glance:
The slim Totem Bookcase is a narrow tower full of generous shelves and boasts clean, minimalist lines. Able to exhibit large format art and photography books, the Totem Bookcase's narrow silhouette places emphasis on the contents of the shelves - making it the perfect bookshelf display for your living room. Besides, what else will you put your tchotchkies on? (Sorry about that - we were just seized by the urge to write "tchotchkies.") One size.
What's To Like:
Compared to this slim tower, ordinary bookcases are as dull as waffles without butter and syrup. You feel my vibe? This is just a fun-looking bookcase, and it'll fit in a ton of spots you never expected could be used as storage space.
What's Not to Like:
Captain Obvious here: the Totem Bookcase is narrow. It won't hold as many books as a traditionally-designed one will. You'll choose Totem based on its looks and maneuverability, not capacity.
The Bottom Line:
The Blu Dot Totem Bookcase tower is a breath of fresh air - storage for the sake of looks, and looks for the sake of well-what-the-heck-why-not. Slim, minimalistic, sturdy.

Perfect for piano music
Comments about Blu Dot Totem Bookcase Tower:
Needed a shelf that could hold large piano books/folders and that would stand in a tight corner. This fits great. It's surprisingly tall next to the piano, but the white color blends into the wall behind it, so it's not an imposing presence in the room.
It holds a surprising amount of music/books. Didn't realize this until we received it, but it has two small plastic water tanks in the base that add weight and stability. It's very stable front-to-back and moderately stable side-to-side. If a strong child pulled on it I could see it tumbling. There's no built-in way to fix it to a wall, but it doesn't look difficult to drill a small hole and attach a nut and bolt that could go into the wall behind it.
