Masters Stool by Kartell, set of 2
designed by Philippe Starck

If there is a true heir-apparent to the mid-century furniture masters, it's Frenchman Philippe Starck. How fitting then that Starck would take three of the most iconic chairs of the mid-century movement and assimilate their silhouettes into one masterful design. Kartell presents to you Philippe Starck's latest masterpiece, the Masters Stool.

The Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen, the Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen and the Eiffel Chair by Charles Eames weave into a most engaging and sinuous hybrid. Standing on four slim legs, the Masters Stool is roomy and comfortable. The back of the stool is its most fascinating feature characterized by the fullness and empty spaces created by the curvaceous crisscrossing lines of three different backs which descend to merge into the edge of the seat.

Available in 2 heights:

Counterstool dimensions: 39" h x 20" w x 20" d

Barstool dimensions: 43" h x 20" w x 20" d

    Comments about Kartell Masters Chair:

I have these in our home on the Gulf of Mexico. They are very comfortable, stylish and airy. They add design element to our modern dining room without blocking our view of the Gulf.
I have purchased these same chairs and counter stools for our urban home in Chicago.

Saw these chairs in Finland last summer and could not get them out of my mind. Use at breakfast table in a small alcove. Very elegant. Openess of the chairs makes the room seem larger.

      Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was fast. Chairs were well packed and protected from the vagaries of shipping.
