Shelton & Mindel Side Table by Knoll
designed by Peter Shelton & Lee Mindel
The Shelton & Mindel Side Table is the physical presence of M.C. Escher's "continuous form," an un-defined and ever-contradictory whole. The bases of the Shelton & Mindel Side Table are beautifully made, bent into perfect shapes as carefully as jewelry workers handle their wares. The Shelton & Mindel Side Table is precise, defined, but at the same time, elusive and even contradictory to the eye. The floating glass top which can extend from the edges of the base is the piece de resistance.
The Shelton & Mindel Side Table is constructed of seamless stainless steel. White bases are coated in a tough Rilsan finish. Polished bases are stainless steel, hand-buffed to a mirror finish. The top of the Shelton & Mindel Table is either clear glass, luminous Starphire glass, or cleft slate with a beveled edge.
Overall: 18" h x 24" w x 24" d
