Sequel CPU Cabinet by BDI
designed by Matthew Weatherly
At A Glance:
This cabinet is a great way to keep your actual CPU out of sight, and also off your desk. The modern workplace is increasingly busy and crowded, and that goes double for work desks. The Sequel system is designed to store and organize your work desk, and this unit goes a long way.

What's To Like:
The unit can swing both ways, opening either to the left or the right depending upon your preference and the set up of your desk. There's also easy access in the back, something that's hard to find.
What's Not to Like:
This CPU Cabinet is an add-on to the Sequel desk, so it's not an accessory that comes free. However, it is one that comes with value for both organization and a clean look.
The Bottom Line:
This is a good looking addition to a Sequel system, and one that really comes in handy when you want a clear workspace.

About The Manufacturer
Thoughtful design; sleek lines; material quality that is without peer. Becker Designed Inc. was founded in 1984 by Bill Becker with the goal of making top-notch modern furniture design accessible to the public. They've succeeded. With the most functional, well-engineered, and attractively designed TV stands on the market, BDI has raised the bar to an impressive height. Features like flow-through ventilation, IR-friendly glass, integrated wheels, and removable back panels are just a few of the innovative ways BDI has discovered to make the TV stand that much better. Today, BDI is best know for its home entertainment systems, but it has also applied its vision and craftsmanship in its lines of tables, shelving, and mirrors. BDI is located in Chantilly, Virginia.
Heavily influenced by Danish modern style, Matthew studied Scandinavian design, architecture, and woodworking at Denmark's Design School and holds a degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. Inspired by his love of Nature, Matthew's designs have become known for merging maximum functionality with minimal materials, always striving to do more with less.
When it comes time to redesign the layout of your office, the BDI Sequel CPU Cabinet makes it easy. Four casters allow the cabinet to be rolled anywhere in the office. Once you reach your destination and plan on leaving the cabinet in place, the wheels have a locking mechanism that keeps it from sliding or rolling away.
The back panel of the BDI Sequel CPU Cabinet makes your computer set up and break down simple. The panel can be easily removed when it comes time to add or subtract necessary computer components. The back panel features ventilation slots that allow the computer to receive as much fresh air as it needs to keep it cool in heavy use.
The BDI Sequel CPU Cabinet was designed with the user in mind. The cabinet door provides the option of opening to the left or right side. Based on the desk configuration your office layout dictates, the door can be installed on the required side during assembly.
The cabinet is not only a necessary component for your desk in the workplace, but it fits in nicely in the home as well. When creating the design of your home office layout, the cabinet could be one of the most important elements to consider. Computers are sometimes big financial investments. Having a cabinet to keep the tower safe from any curious children that take a special interest in their parent's computer would be a wise investment that could save you thousands. An investment today could end up saving you in the long run.
Modern day computer towers come in all shapes and sizes. Luckily the BDI Sequel CPU Cabinet 6006 is capable of hosting just about any of them. Available in natural stained cherry, rich walnut and espresso stained oak, this cabinet is an often overlooked but necessary component in any office.
