About the Designer
 | Harry Bertoia is an Italian designer best known (and justly famous) for his Bertoia Diamond Lounge Chair, and the whole series of chairs and tables that followed from that design. A proponent of leaving space and air in his designs, Bertoia was a pioneer in using bent steel as a design tool and material, which led to the creation of durable, reproducable, and delicate looking chairs and tables. Bertoia is in the pantheon of great designers. |
