About the Designer
Emilia Borgthorsdottir was born in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. She graduated from the Art Institute of California in Industrial Design and went on to open her own studio in San Francisco, called emiliaBorgthor in 2010. Emilia uses her past career as a physical therapist to integrate ergonomic functions into her pieces. In 2011 she debuted the Sebastopol occasional tables at NeoCon. Emilia states that she calls upon all of her past experiences to influence the designs she does today.
Materials & Measurements
The Sebastopol Large Low Table is made up of an oak or walnut wood veneer exterior with a glossy laminate interior. On the bottom are concealed adjustable glides with non-marking nylon pads.
