Post Up Twin Bed by Blu Dot
Raise 'em up. That's right--wave your posts in the air like you just don't care. Blu Dot took a look at King Ludwig's insane poster bed in the Neuschwannstein Castle and thought to themselves, "Meh, we can do better." So they did. They took the concepts of a poster bed, stripped away all of the unnecessary frills, and created a modern poster bed that's at home in the 21st century.
What's to Like:
Everybody watched Beauty and the Beast growing up. There's something magical about a grandiose poster bed that can't be beaten. The problem is that, until now, you had to settle for some traditionally designed simulacrum or find an authentic antique. Not anymore. Blu Dot made a poster bed that can fulfill all of your dreams without looking like it was picked up out of a backwoods Alabamian thrift store.
What's not to Like:
Poster beds can be a little tough to navigate in the dark. You flip the bedroom light switch off, scurry to your site of the bed, and wham! You just got a post to the face. That doesn't happen if you don't have a poster bed.
The Bottom Line:
The Post Up Bed by Blu Dot is a modern rendition of a tried and true classic. Poster beds are regal. If you want to live like a king or queen in your bedroom, this bed is a great segue into that design tradition without being too...well...traditional.
